The Malta Sports Day organised by Dennis Dyhr-Hansen, Ramona Mifsud, Christian Ellul, Erik Gjerde, Jeremy Broad, Jeremy Charles Grech, Eman Pulis and Kevin Buttigieg has generated €15,000 for local philanthropic organisation RE/MAX & Friends foundation, Puttinu Cares and Inspire.
The concept of the first annual sports day, held at the Marsa Sports and Athletic Ground, was to bring the iGaming Industry closer together where several iGaming operators and service providers in the Industry participated in track, field and other fun sports with charity in mind. The day was sponsored by several companies including, Cherry, BMIT, Every Matrix, Anna Casino, Bethard, Spigo, Catenamedia, Fairwinds Management, RakeTech, Ambassador Events, SMS Warriors, Fat Louie’s, Sky Spirit Fitness Lounge, Fraser Yachts, The Box, AspireGlobal, BetFair, DealToday, Betting Connections and iGame, the eventual overall winners.
Speaking about the event Mr. Dyhr-Hansen said “It’s amazing how people come together for a common goal such as charity. I would like to thank those involved in organising the event as well as the sponsors for being so generous both with their time and financially.”
The event was a first of its kind and offered both local and foreign igaming companies working within the industry an ideal team building exercise. Kevin Buttigieg, member of the board of RE/MAX & Friends Foundation said “It was an excellent experience and great fun to organise and watch the participants compete in a friendly environment. The committee did an excellent job in the organisation and we are grateful for their donation.”
The Marsa Sports Day organising committee is already discussing the next edition, which is being planned for early summertime in 2016. For any updates about the next event go to https://www.facebook.com/maltasportsday/
