Etienne Vassallo has clinched the RE/MAX Malta Top Sales Associate Award presented to him during the company’s recent annual AGM. Having an innovative atmosphere and the calibre of an international convention, this was the 12th AGM held by RE/MAX Malta to date. Etienne was indeed one of the top achievers who, amongst others, the head office were delighted to hand over another well deserved 18 trophies, 102 certificates, an Excellence Award and six more trophies awarded in appreciation for long-time service to the brand.
Etienne, who started working with the company as early as January 2012 explains how it all started, “I already knew some of my present colleagues who were working at the Tigne office. One of these in particular was my previous manager Gordon Valentino with whom I worked closely for several years prior. I always received very positive feedback when enquiring about the office which was ably driven by Michael Bonello. This all proved to be instrumental to further attracting me to join this team.”
“I had been working in property with another estate agency for seven years before joining RE/MAX. So in total I have been in property for over 10 years but still love this job as if it was my first day. I must say that with RE/MAX I always had good years.”
“It was my decision to concentrate fully on sales because I feel that sales can be more challenging. Whilst more complicated at times, working on sales can also be very rewarding. Given that I love a good challenge, all these factors keep me motivated.”
“This is not my first brush with awards here at RE/MAX. In fact, I was 2nd Runner up in 2014, apart from all the awards achieved for Top Producing Office won by my Tigne office. For the Top Sales Associate Award, I was contending the whole group of RE/MAX, which is a team of 260+ strong-minded associates.”
“It is extremely difficult to reach the figures required to gain an award, however nothing is impossible when you apply the right mindset and constant determination. In real estate, I guess it’s the hard work you put in, and having the predisposition to ensure you give the client the best service.”
“Thinking about describing my typical day is interesting… as other estate agents know, there is no typical day’s work for any of us. I like to start work early and have all my appointments prepared from the day before. Yet, notwithstanding this, sometimes all my plans can change in a second due to circumstances, so I adapt and prepare myself for anything that comes along. I have fun doing my job, whatever it is that needs to be done. I motivate myself with simple things like looking at the view from our office or sharing a simple joke with my colleagues at work. It’s the environment which motivates me apart from the respect, thankfulness and appreciation from my clients – both buyers and sellers. Every individual estate agent has his or her own properties which he/she likes to work on and this applies to me too. But it is ultimately the client who comes first and I prefer to give my best service to a client whatever the situation and whatever his or her needs may be. We only live once, so what better way to live than to continue enjoying this crazy world till I have the energy to do it?”
As RE/MAX Malta moves on to develop and grow further, as business keep increasing, being part of the team keeps reaping benefits and awards such as the one Etienne received. He is in fact one of a considerable number of achievers who perform excellently in their work with consistency and professionalism.
