Every day, around 12 per cent of the sales and lettings associates in the RE/MAX Malta network keep everyone at the brand going through countless small – but crucial – tasks.
Although they may not be the company’s classic ‘top performers’, their hard work, determination and dedication maintains RE/MAX Malta’s position as the leader of the local real estate market.
But how to thank these real estate all-rounders for their outstanding contribution?
Enter the RE/MAX Golden Circle – a new initiative that tracks their overall performance across a series of categories, and rewards those with the highest scores.
Here, we answer some FAQs about this latest trailblazing RE/MAX Malta innovation.
Why launch the RE/MAX Golden Circle?
Traditionally, the real estate industry tends to only recognise and reward the agents that sell the most.
At RE/MAX Malta, we believe that the small tasks that our associates complete every day are what make them stand out from the rest. We have a long-standing reputation as a real estate market leader, with a brand promise to deliver the best customer experience – and that can only be achieved through the collective skills and efforts of our entire team.
With the launch of the Golden Circle we have pioneered the future of the industry yet again. Now, top performance is not just about an associate’s commissions, number of transactions or listings sold – it is about the total effort they make every day at RE/MAX Malta.
How does it work?
Launched earlier this year, the RE/MAX Golden Circle 2021 is a digital platform that ranks each associate’s individual performance across eight categories on a quarterly basis. Everyone is ranked via the platform according to their number of listing updates, new inspections, price reductions, testimonials, commissions, transactions, exclusive listings sold, and own inspections sold.
On the live table – which is updated in real-time on the platform’s dashboard – associates can view their constantly changing placement on the leader board. Every daily task they undertake could potentially make a difference to their ranking. Then, at midnight on the final day of the quarter, whoever has the highest accumulated scores automatically earns a coveted place in the RE/MAX Golden Circle for the following three months.
What are the benefits of being part of the RE/MAX Golden Circle?
During the three-month time window that they are in this elite group, members have access to a wide range of attractive benefits designed to give their careers a valuable boost.
First, they are officially welcomed into the next quarter’s Golden Circle in a ceremony where they are presented with a certificate and lapel pin. They also receive the first of many perks such as advice from expert guest speakers and business coaches.
For the next three months, they then enjoy a host of opportunities to supercharge their knowledge and build their skillsets through activities such as focus groups, keynote speeches or specialised training in social media.
What happened at the first RE/MAX Golden Circle event?
The initiative’s inaugural event was held on Wednesday 19 May at Acqua Terra E Mare, St Julian’s. This prestigious business breakfast welcomed 32 sales and lettings associates who had all earned a place in the first RE/MAX Golden Circle, along with members of the RE/MAX Malta management team.

These associates were Ian Fenech, Philip Incorvaja, Joseph Cassar, Nick Portelli, Mark Micallef, Anatole Scerri Diacono, Adam Micallef, Michael Martin, Kenneth Pisani, Rosanna Binotto, Brian Zammit, Leslie Gareth Schembri, Thomas Meachen, Nathan Charlesworth, Stephen Borg, Schevon Camilleri, Dorian Grech, Dean Camilleri, Keith Vassallo, Ritienne Calleja, Michael, Mangion, Dirk Debono, Rowan Carbone, Alana Camilleri, Jolene Bugeja, Malcolm Caruana, Anca Maxim, Javier Lopez, Barbara Hamarics, Vanya Aquilina, Karina Do Nascimento and Margaret Buttigieg.
At the breakfast event, they were congratulated by both RE/MAX Malta CEO Jeffrey Buttigieg and Chairman Kevin Buttigieg. Entrepreneur, athlete and business coach Nathan Farrugia was then introduced as keynote speaker, sharing valuable insights into how to develop a high-performance mindset, set the benchmark professionally, and raise standards via small steps every day.
