James Busuttil started his career in the real estate industry when he made a drastic change in his life from the family jewellery business some thirteen years ago.  He initially started his real estate journey as a real estate agent however after some late hours and remarkably good results the leading agency he was working with at the time saw potential in him for management.  He took on his first management position and has never looked back since.

After working at management level for two of the largest real estate companies in Malta he realised the opportunity in RE/MAX that enabled him to start his own business yet synergise with 120,000 like minded individuals, eighty of which here in Malta and Gozo.  In May 2007, RE/MAX Central opened its doors and today hosts seven sales and letting associates with a full potential of eleven professionals whom James is always eager to pass his experience onto.

RE/MAX Central is strategically located on the Birkikara Bypass  practically opposite the Mater dei Hospital.  The office specialises mainly on the central areas of Malta and offers a fully comprehensive real estate service.   The areas include Sliema and surrounding areas as well as Balzan, Lija, Attard,Ghargur, Naxxar, Mosta and  all the surrounding areas. 

Although the company was set up in 2007, the results for 2009 are already on course to being triple that of last year.   Sensible recruitment, an ongoing   training and mentoring programme together with  stringent ethics are what RE/MAX Central thrives  on and is a key element to their success.

The Property Market

The property market in the central areas has always been a strong sector of the local real estate industry in Malta.  Now with the slight correction in prices and better interest rates, sales are being completed consistently, slowly but surely consuming the  large selection of property constructed in recent years.   Apartments and maisonettes in the price range of € 115,000 to € 230, 000 are the properties that are most in demand at the moment.  Following those are the terraced houses, villas and also the now less frequent   houses of character  or farmhouse.   There has been a change in trend for house of characters and farmhouses due to the upkeep and the costly man hours to finish a property up to a high standard not to mention that today the standard of finish for other property types has increased dramatically as well as the value one gets for the euro.  Lija and Balzan are still popular areas just as Naxxar and San Pawl Tat-Targa have increased in popularity over the last few months.  RE/MAX Central has an excellent selection of Maltese properties in all of these areas that are affordable and well finished.
